HUMANITARIAN ORGANIZATION "MAJKA DEVET JUGOVICA"

NGO “Majka Devet Jugovica” was founded in the year 2000 by favour of Diocese of Ras-Prizren and was officially registered in UNMIK, with the view to help the suffering Serbian people in Kosovo and Metohija. Our organization has had a significant success in implementing Small Business Start Up projects in agriculture, crafts, cattle-breeding and so fort.

HELP VULNERABLE FAMILIES IN KOSOVO AND METOHIJA

On Wednesday, October 14th 2009, members of the NGO “Majka Devet Jugovica” visited some of the vulnerable families who live in the villages of Gornja and Donja Gusterica in central Kosovo. These families have asked our organization to help them several times. During our visit we came to realize the actual conditions in which these families live in and this brought on serious concerns.

29.03.2010 - As we announced earlier, we started distributing the humanitarian aid that was sent from Herzegovina to the suffering people in Kosovo and Metohija. With the blessing of the Administrator of Ras-Prizren Diocese, Bishop Atanasije, our NGO went to the Binac village in Vitina municipality to hand out the aid to the families in that village..... arrow

Families of Hercegovina for families of Kosovo

25.03.2010 - Over 60 tons of humanitarian aid have been gathered in Diocese of Zahumlje and Hezegovina for the endangered Serbian families and public kitchens in Kosovo and Metohija. The aid was delivered to the public kitchens' central warehouse in Diocese of Ras-Prizren. Most of this aid consists of food supplies and hygiene kit. It also contains little packages of school materials that the pupils from Herzegovina have gathered and wrapped up themselves, sending their message of solidarity and brotherly love to the children in Kosovo..... arrow

What is needed the most

The things needed the most to keep the kitchens working and support the people in Kosovo and Metohija are: flower, vegetable oil, sugar, salt, canned food, fire-wood, warm clothes and footwear.

Our activities

Current activity:  Help us build the house for the family with nine children. Our NGO together with the Ras-Prizren Diocese has started raising funds to build the house for Milisav Djuric and his family of eleven members in Binac village, Kosovska Vitina municipality.
